My research seeks to examine skeptics groups in the United States that invoke conspiracy theory to form social organization and counter dominant forms of knowledge. While conspiracy theories are nothing new, the United States has seen an explosion of them in the last decade in relation to the rise of technological innovations such as the smart phone that allow ideas to reach individuals almost instantaneously.

I am interested in exploring how ethnography can be relayed through protest. A quick google scholar search yields some interesting-looking articles where protest is examined ethnographically, so I’ll have to look more carefully in the future to find extant literature about relaying ethnography through protest. Toxic Masculinity: Interrogating Mechanisms Undercutting Gendered Possibilities

As a psychologist and feminist ethnographer of gender, sexuality, and globalization, I intend to examine and deconstruct the ways in which toxic masculinities have swept through current societies, solidifying hegemonic masculine superiority while creating new forms of marginalities for non-cisgender and sexual minority individuals.  I also attend to the predominant dynamics and mechanisms that undercut the capacity for the collective realization of the declining gendered possibilities in current society.  By questioning and deconstructing toxic masculinity from a global perspectiv
