- I selected this visualization of Pakistani Muslim League-Nawaz (PML(N)) supporters' visualization of Imran Khan as Shiva and his political party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), as Hindus for the following reasons:
- The image is rooted in the visual aesthetics of the region, in particular Hindu iconography and politicians' likenesses.
- The image carries the tensions of the relationships between religious minorities and electoral politics in the region.
- The image offers a complex melding of visuals to get some insights into the relationship between religious minorities and electoral politics in the region.
- The image has multiple significations that point to questions of containment and excess in images.
