Hepler-SmithE VtP Collaboration Biography

http://www.radicalcartography.net/I once heard the historian behind this site, Bill Rankin of Yale, give a wonderful talk about his use of mapmaking as part of the research process rather than a way of presenting fully-baked data and conclusion. The conclusion applies mutatis mutandis to all kinds of visual scholarly practice and seems to me very much part of the spirit of our project.May be also worth poking around James Elliot and Scott Frickel, Sites Unseen (2018), especially the appendix, "A DIY Guide for Finding Sites and Sources for Building a Historically Hidden Industrial Database"
